Phenotype is a new type of hardware sequencer. Gone are the days of unintuitive user interfaces, trying to remember esoteric button combinations, or deep menu diving. Gone are the days of track limitations, pattern limitations, or other constraints. Gone are the days of having only a few MIDI channels. Gone are the days of squinting to see tiny information on low resolution screens.
Phenotype places no limitations on any of these. Unlimited MIDI tracks with unlimited MIDI clips can be connected to unlimited MIDI instruments, whether hardware or software. When connected to a computer, it presents as 16 ports with 16 channels each. In addition to connecting MIDI hardware with standard MIDI jacks, any USB MIDI hardware can be connected up to the limitations of the USB bus, including with USB hubs.
